Trinity in Transition
The Transition Team would like to thank everyone who has attended the all parish meetings. They have been fruitful and revealed that we have much to consider together as a parish. While the Transition Team as a whole has been quiet since December, the profile writers on the team have been busy working on yet another draft. As of today, they have taken 80 pages of history and condensed it to four pages, while simultaneously expanding sections on parish ministries and community information. Martha, Chris, and Elise have cheerfully undertaken this momentous task and are devoted to the creation of this document on behalf of our parish family. After edits complete, the full 80 page history will be available on webpage. Thank you for your patience as we continue to wander in the wilderness.
We acknowledge that this time of transition is often uncomfortable and can lead to feelings of unrest as we strive to make sure that our finances are sound, our buildings solid, and our leadership is healthy. We, the Transition Team, a subcommittee of Vestry, work the process of transition: we gather information, write the profile, and work with vestry to interview candidates. We are currently in the second phase of this three-fold transition process: writing the profile. The writers expect to be editing for the next couple of months. Please be patient and kind, to quote 1 Corinthians, always moving lovingly on this path that we travel together. Our next Transition Team meeting will be April 7th
Trinity Transition Prayer
Oh God, you know us better than we know ourselves. Guide us throughout our time of transition
as together we wander in the wilderness. Empower each one of us to use our unique gifts in ministry,
to share openly and honestly our thoughts, to respect the opinions of others, and to encourage humility,
patience and joy. Instill in us a vision of our church family; that, guided by your Holy Spirit,
we will be united in love and joyfully work together to find appropriate clergy leadership for Trinity.
All this we pray, empowered by your love - Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Amen.
We are an open faith community welcoming everyone who is responding to God's Grace.
If you are visiting or looking for a spiritual home, please consider joining us in worshiping God in a contemporary Anglican/Episcopalian tradition.
We pray that you will experience the life, love, and inclusiveness of the risen Jesus
